A FEW WORDS ABOUT OUR FAVORITE PROJECTS

From the people who made them happen

What makes a project memorable in the minds of the people who execute it?

It could be a particular challenge you conquered. Some new skills you developed. Or maybe the sheer size and scope of what you accomplished.

In this section of our website, Lockheed Architectural Solutions, Inc. project managers talk about projects that are particularly memorable for them. Each one is an example of the earnest effort and dedication our customers can expect on a daily basis, from our project managers and their teams.

Ox Ridge Elementary School | Darien, CT
MEGAN BOURQUE

Ox Ridge Elementary School
Darien, CT

“The Ox Ridge Elementary School was a project that put Lockheed Architectural Solutions, Inc.’s wide range of capabilities on display. From the expansive curtain walls in and surrounding the courtyard, to the multiple panel systems installed around the façade of the building and on the roof, to the interior and exterior glazing systems that provide fire protection, security, and natural light throughout, and more.

With constant coordination between our project management team, installation crew, and the general contractor, O&G Industries, we were able to assist in executing this new construction project over 2 phases and deliver a beautiful and safe environment for the next generation and beyond to cultivate their creativity and academic prowess.”

ZACHARY ACHIN

Bedford Labs
Bedford, MA

“The tight schedule and existing conditions at Bedford Labs required the entire team to think outside the box to blend the original remaining design with a new modern look. Lockheed and Callahan Construction worked together to navigate the unique issues that occur when working on a renovation job. With varying scopes of work, Lockheed’s field was able to show that we do more than just glass. ACM panels, roof screens, stainless steel elevator panels and loading bay facade were all on full display at Bedford Labs.”

Revoluition Labs | Lexington, MA
ERIC GREGIORE

Revolution Labs
Lexington, MA

“Revolution Labs in Lexington, Massachusetts stands as a successful project for Lockheed Architectural Solutions, Inc. The architects’ vision and our team’s execution combined to create a building that served as a valuable learning experience for all involved. From project management and drafting to design, fabrication, and installation, every step of the way presented opportunities to grow and improve.

Our scope for the project encompassed the entire façade, we installed a variety of panel systems, curtainwalls, glass canopies, sunshades, and continuous storefronts. A few key material partners that made the project a success were EFCO, Old Castle, Guardian and Green Girt. We implemented Swiss Pearl fiber cement panels for the first time, utilizing in-house design and fabrication to optimize yield and streamline installation. Additionally, we incorporated large Porcelanosa tiles from Spain, requiring careful field-cutting with a wet saw. Other panels materials included ACM, corrugated metal panels, and an acoustical roof screen.

Close collaboration with construction manager Callahan proved crucial to the project’s success. Through effective communication and teamwork, we were able to overcome challenges and ensure a smooth installation process. We look forward to future collaborations with Callahan on similar projects.”
