Revolution Labs
Lexington, MA
“Revolution Labs in Lexington, Massachusetts stands as a successful project for Lockheed Architectural Solutions, Inc. The architects’ vision and our team’s execution combined to create a building that served as a valuable learning experience for all involved. From project management and drafting to design, fabrication, and installation, every step of the way presented opportunities to grow and improve.
Our scope for the project encompassed the entire façade, we installed a variety of panel systems, curtainwalls, glass canopies, sunshades, and continuous storefronts. A few key material partners that made the project a success were EFCO, Old Castle, Guardian and Green Girt. We implemented Swiss Pearl fiber cement panels for the first time, utilizing in-house design and fabrication to optimize yield and streamline installation. Additionally, we incorporated large Porcelanosa tiles from Spain, requiring careful field-cutting with a wet saw. Other panels materials included ACM, corrugated metal panels, and an acoustical roof screen.
Close collaboration with construction manager Callahan proved crucial to the project’s success. Through effective communication and teamwork, we were able to overcome challenges and ensure a smooth installation process. We look forward to future collaborations with Callahan on similar projects.”
