CAD Technician

Job Description

Lockheed Architectural Solutions, Inc. is looking for a CAD Technician to create shop drawings for new construction and renovation projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Create and revise drawings using computer-assisted design/drafting equipment and software. Experience in shop production drawings required.
  • Create and modify layouts and details from contract documents and specifications
  • Provide additional design and drafting support as needed
  • Review engineering drawings/documents and make revisions accordingly
  • Rely on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job
  • Work closely with Project Engineers, Project Managers, and/or Project Designers
  • Work from concepts, ideas or rough sketches while adhering to drafting standards

Job Requirements:

  • A minimum of an associate’s degree or completion of a technical trade school in CAD, drafting, or a related field
  • Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in AutoCad drafting/design. Preferability in the architectural field.
  • Background in architectural engineering or construction management
  • Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD software, Adobe Acrobat, and Microsoft Word/Excel
  • Strong organizational skills with an ability to assume numerous responsibilities
  • Experience in commercial applications of fenestration products preferred but not required
  • Strong math skills
  • Excellent communication skills including interpersonal, listening, oral, and written
  • Strong knowledge of standard drafting practices and procedures
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and efficiently schedule/manage time

Assistant Project Manager – Façade

Job Description

Lockheed Architectural Solutions, Inc. is looking for a self-motivated, hard-working, and entrepreneurial Assistant Project Manager – Façade to manage existing customer relationships and forge new connections. Candidate will work out of our office in Pascoag, RI, and manage all aspects of new construction or renovation projects. This position reports directly to the Project Executive.

Responsibilities:

  • Build and develop strong working relationships with owners, architects, vendors, and general contractors, as well as construction and architectural teams.
  • Manage existing customer relationships on multimillion-dollar projects.
  • Manage project budgets and schedules to adhere to estimated expenses and timelines.
  • Manage the submittal, procurement, design, and implementation of all projects.
  • Develop and negotiate sub-contractor, consultant, and/or vendor/engineer agreements.
  • Communicate all information regarding projects to the Project Management team to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
  • Assist in the supervision of installation teams to ensure work is completed safely and meets the highest level of quality standards.
  • Monitor all processes, materials, safety, and job quality.

Job Requirements:

  • At least 1 years’ experience in the glazing industry.
  • Prior experience working with A/E’s, CM’s, Designer’s, Developer’s, etc. , interpreting specifications, drawings, and design assists.
  • Experience managing existing customer relationships.
  • Project management knowledge from design, estimation, engineering, purchasing, installation, collection, and closeout documents.
  • Ability to assume numerous responsibilities and meet deadlines is required.
  • Must have strong organization, management, communication (both written and verbal), and time management skills.
  • Must be self-motivated, results-oriented, and disciplined to work independently.
  • Experience with Bluebeam, AutoCAD and other industry software is a plus.

Door Department Assistant

Job Description

– Keeping an accurate and neat inventory of dept & hardware trailer

– Assembly and manufacturing layout of various commercial door hardware.

– Entering information into door hardware software

– Vetting fabrication prints to assure accurate machining

– Helping with loading and unloading finished and unfinished materials for delivery.

– Check in all doors & hardware as they are received.

– Identify problems and potential problems pertaining to personnel, machines, tools, & current work ect.

– Update supervisor on employee performance (Good or Bad) whenever necessary

– Filling out weekly dept. safety sheets

– QC All doors and hardware before they are packed for shipping.

– Assist in delegation of work to appropriate employees.

– Knowledge of commercial door hardware and glass and glazing a plus.

Job Requirements/Expectations:

– Must have attention to detail

– Ability to follow instructions, directions, and procedures.

– Ability to read Shop and Fabrication prints.

– Ability to QC product using Shop and Fabrication prints.

– Ability to assume multiple tasks as required.

– Ability to read a tape measure accurately.

– Ability to perform basic math.

– Familiarity with operation of basic shop tools: Miter saw, screw guns, skill saw and hand drills.

– Drilling and notching of various aluminum components.

– Must be able to work in “Team Environment”.

– Reliable transportation.

– Reliable to be able to show up on time every day in Pascoag, RI.

– Work overtime when required.

– 30-day probational period.

– Ability to lift 60 lbs on a regular basis

– Load and unload materials in a safe manner.

– Basic computer skills required.
