Lockheed Architectural Solutions, Inc. is thrilled to showcase the exceptional, innovative design for Colby College. Lockheed was tasked with creating a functional and modern new facility in collaboration with Consigli Construction Co. and William Rawn Associates. The end result was the visionary design of the Colby College Gordon Center for Creative & Performing Arts; the largest and most complex project that the company has undertaken in Maine. This performance hall was designed to be aesthetically and acoustically pleasing. Ultra clear Starphire glass was used throughout the exterior. The interior was fitted with sound-deadening insulated glass with laminated lite and custom acoustical diffusers just inboard of the exterior curtain wall. This project has set a new standard for glass and glazing and it’s evident that Lockheed’s contribution will be felt not only in the physical structure, but also in the inspirational experiences that the facility will host.
