As part of Connecticut College’s initiative to modernize and revitalize key student spaces, Lockheed Architectural Solutions, Inc. was selected to help transform the College Center at Crozier-Williams into a brighter, more inviting hub of student activity. The project balanced aesthetic upgrades with functional enhancements, emphasizing daylighting, accessibility, and architectural detail.

Lockheed’s scope included the full installation of high-performance thermal storefront and door systems, as well as a new skylight and custom finish work:

    • A barrel vault skylight by Wasco/Velux added to the main foyer, introducing natural light and energy efficiency
    • Custom brake metal cladding installed over exposed steel beams in the historic 1962 Room, creating a sleek, modern finish while preserving original architectural intent
