Lockheed Architectural Solutions, Inc. was proud to be involved in the renovation of Horace Mann Hall, home to the Rhode Island College Feinstein School of Education and Human Development. This was a massive undertaking as renovations began a few years ago and were officially completed in 2023. Improvements to the facility include a wing featuring six classrooms and three seminar rooms, spacious common areas, a third-story addition for offices, a new roof, elevator, and windows, and upgrades to electric, plumbing, and network technology. A favorite feature of Dean Jeannine Dingus-Eason is the Goldray Glass Fins—a Lockheed contribution to the project. “It looks like a living prism, especially at different times of the day when it catches the light,” said Dingus-Eason. The renovation not only serves students in the best way possible, but the faculty and staff as well. It’s truly the beginning of a new era in teacher education at RIC.
