ROUTE 128/UNIVERSITY PARK STATION | DEDHAM, MA
This renovation project included egress upgrades to the Route 128/University Park Station, a four-story structure with a structural steel framing system. Lockheed Architectural Solutions, Inc. was contracted to install curtain wall frames around the new exterior staircases at the station. The curtain walls are located a mere 30’ from the train tracks and the high voltage wires that operate the trains. Because of this added safety concern, all Lockheed Architectural Solutions, Inc. employees working on this project had to pass several safety courses provided by both Amtrak and the MBTA.
