This project consisted of removing existing double hung windows and replacing them with EFCO 450G and HX 45 windows. All windows were provided in a 2 coat 70% Kynar paint finish, with a color of Antique White. All windows were also provided with 1” thick insulated glass containing a ½” air space with argon gas and PPG Solarban 70XL Low E coating for optimum energy performance. All window openings received new interior wood surrounds and window treatment. This project also consisted of Lockheed Architectural Solutions, Inc. removing and replacing hollow metals doors and frames and new electrical access control hardware. The challenging part of this project was the timing, as all work associated with classrooms needed to be completed during the summer recess.
